Description:
As the climate crisis increasingly threatens public health, the need to transition to sustainable, low-carbon, and resilient health systems has never been more urgent. This is especially important as the healthcare sector contributes to 5% of global carbon emissions. This webinar will explore how health systems can adapt and lead in the face of environmental challenges. We will unpack the concept of health system resilience, highlighting key lessons from Austria’s efforts. We will then share case studies and practical strategies—from green procurement to sustainable management—demonstrating how health institutions can become champions of environmental responsibility while improving care delivery.
