Dear section colleagues and friends

here is comprehensive update from the EUPHA Health Promotion Section.

1) Following our previous message, in order to facilitate members in preparing submissions for EPH 2023, we would like to remind you that we have 10 days left to submit proposals (until the 1 May):

The next European Public Health Conference will be in Dublin, Ireland, 8-11 November 2023, under the topic “Our Food, Our Health, Our Earth: A Sustainable Future for Humanity”. Our Section is planning to organize a Pre-conference and to submit a couple of workshops for it. We`d be more than happy to facilitate members in preparing submissions. If any member would like to be part of a Health Promotion Section workshop or organize one with the Section support, please send us a proposal here by the 23th of april. Please specify (1) your name, (2) contact details including institution, (3) topic and rational for the proposal, and finally, (4) the abstract of your submission. We will try to compile workshops from received abstracts. If you are interested in getting in touch with other colleagues of the Section, please send us your interest of participation no later than the 23 april, 2023, by completing this form. (Note: This does not replace or substitute your individual submissions - you can submit individual abstract directly here).

2) In line with this query, there are some ideas already been suggested - please contact us if you are interested in joining any of the following topics:

-  a 60-minute workshop is been prepared to generate a discussion on the state of community health practice in Europe; a discussion that could help researchers working in this field to find each other, leading to further collaborations on European projects (if you would like to participate please contact Eric BRETON,  at Eric.Breton@ehesp.fr)

- HP health literacy & life styles: lessons from the next pandemic

- HP intersectionality, racism

- HP Digital promotion for immunization with children and adults & infodenic management

- HP best practices (e.g. child health within which healthy development, breastfeeding, food marketing, outdoor activities, promoting health in child care settings)

3) It is time to submit your proposals for the The European Public Health Week (EUPHW) that aims to raise awareness about public health and promote collaboration among the public health community in Europe.

The European Public Health Week 2023 will be held from 22-26 May. The overarching theme is 'Public health: Global issues, local actions'. Each day of the week will have its own daily theme. You may organise your own event(s) on one or more days of the week and subscribe for the newsletter by sending an e-mail to EUPHAcommunications@eupha.org

Wishing you all the best & warmest greetings!
