Increase Health Promotion in all settings and policies by forwarding this EUPHA.HP.N&N message to politicians, policy makers, colleagues, students, corporations, NGOs or anyone interested in the referred topics

Dear section colleagues and friends. Here is comprehensive update from the EUPHA Health Promotion Section:

1.     Participate today in the Consultation: call for evidence to support the evaluation of the Tobacco Legislative Framework

The tobacco industry continues its efforts to undermine tobacco control within the EU. Director Rys, from SANTE Unit B, stressed that the support from public health researchers is key when it comes to counteract tobacco industry tactics, and that strong evidence and advocacy are needed.

The Commission has launched a call for evidence to support the evaluation of the Tobacco Legislative Framework. In addition, they will also conduct targeted consultations and they even consider expert interviews. As you can imagine, the industry is already extremely active in this area, which is why active contribution of the public health community is much needed. Please be part of this consultation and follow this link. Deadline to submit your consultation is 17 June

2.     Lifestyles, health literacy: from theory to practice!” – registrations are open (www.helica.net)

This online course – Lifestyles and Health Literacy: from theory to practice (MC-EVLSS) – aims to explore the role health literacy has in terms of lifestyles. This micro-accreditation (10 ECTS) is the first level of an academic program that, to be developed at three levels, aims to support the deepening of the articulation between lifestyles and health. Thus, in the case of its implementation, the credits obtained can be validated in subsequent levels (such as the Postgraduate Diploma in “Lifestyles, Literacy for Health and Sustainability” (HELICA PG) more information here).

Information about the HEalthy LIfestyles & Health Literacy Chair Academy (HeLiCA) can be found online here.

Enrollment and registrations are carried out until the 12 September and exclusively online here
