SESPAS - Spanish Association of Public Health and Healthcare
The Sociedad Española de Salud Pública y Administración Sanitaria (SESPAS) is an association whose mission is to contribute to improving health and health services in Spain though different kinds of actions in the field of health promotion, disease prevention, education, research as well as actions relating to planning, management and health assessment. SESPAS is one of the founding members of EUPHA and in 2008 SESPAS co-organised the EPH Conference in Lisbon. SESPAS has a broad and multidisciplinary vision of public health and is comprised of 12 scientific societies that share a mission to improve the health and well-being of the population: AJS (Health Jurists Association), SEE (Spanish Society of Epidemiology), SEEP (Spanish Society of Psychiatric Epidemiology), AEC (Community Nursing Association), AMASAP (Madrid Association of Public Health), REAP (Spanish Primary Care Network), SCSP (Canary Society of Public Health), SESA (Spanish Society of Environmental Health), AMAS (Madrid Association of Health Administration), AES (Spanish Health Economics Association), SSPCiB (Public Health Society of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands), SASPAS-HIPATIA (Andalusian Society of public health and health administration).
