Invitation to the collaborative meeting: public mental health workshops

We are reaching out to invite you to an online meeting on the 25 March 2024 from 15:00-16:00 CET

The meeting is dedicated to exploring the collaborative opportunities in public mental health research, policy and practice for the upcoming 17th European Public Health conference in Lisbon, Portugal, on 13-15 November 2024. The main theme of the conference is “Sailing the waves of European public health: exploring a sea of innovation”.

During the Join the Network Meeting at the EPH Conference in Dublin several topics have been identified for the workshops in 2024: environment and mental health, climate change and mental health, stigma, domestic, gender-based violence, substance abuse, suicide prevention, barriers to mental health services, mental health care for migrants, mental health surveillance, burden of informal care.

If you are interested in the opportunity to present your research results or elaborate innovative approaches, discuss methodologies in public mental health, please join the collaborative meeting and contribute to building the 17th EPH Conference agenda in public mental health.

We are opening a call for your abstracts in public mental health field based on which we, at the PMH section, will be able to construct a relevant workshop theme. We are looking forward to your abstractsvia email:

The deadline for submitting the public mental health abstracts is 1 April 2024.

European Public Health Week (EUPHW) (13-17 May 2024)

Mental health: People at the centre – a dedicated webinar on Tuesday 14 May 2024 from 14:00-15:00 CET 

People at the centre for better mental health and wellbeing are essential for the mental health in all policies. We are inviting you to the webinar to discuss the Novel approaches in public mental health for the future. New strategies, priorities, models and innovations aimed at promoting mental health and wellbeing on a community or population level. These approaches involve leveraging technologies, community engagement, policy changes and inclusivity of mental health initiatives within interdisciplinary collaborations.

The final programme and the link to the webinar will be sent to all registered participants.

6th International Public Mental Health Winter School, 2-6 December 2024

Save the date: the EUPHA Public mental health section is continuing the tradition of the public mental health schools and are kindly inviting you to the 6th International Public Mental Health School“Trauma informed policy and care”. This year the public mental health course will be held during the winter season that will take place in Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine, Lithuania in collaboration with international partners - Emden University of Applied Sciences (Germany). The International Public Mental Health Winter School is open to all professional groups and levels of experience this year focusing on Trauma informed policy and care.
