Dear colleagues,

This year EUPHA offers a place for discussion on emerging public health issues through various events. The EPH 2024 conference and the European Public Health Week 2024 are premier events that bring together researchers, academicians, public health specialists, healthcare practitioners, policymakers from all over Europe to present their research and new ideas in all fields of public health. Our section is planning to organize workshops and hold various events in collaboration with other EUPHA sections. We are interested in hearing your ideas and hosting your events, individual abstracts, round table discussions and workshops on INJURY PREVENTION & SAFETY PROMOTION. We invite you to submit your ideas or contact us HERE to offer you various ways of engagement in our section events.

  • The 17thEPH Conference will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 12 – 15 November 2024. Pre-conferences will be held on Tuesday 12 November. The main conference is from 13 – 15 November. Theme of the EPH conference 2024 is: Sailing the waves of European public health: exploring a sea of innovation. The conference will be held at the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL). Read more HERE
    • Registration opens on the 1st of April 2024. Early bird registration fees until 1 September 2024. More information HERE
    • Abstract submission is open until 1 May 2024, 18:00 CET (Workshops, oral presentations, pitch presentations and ePosters). If your abstract is accepted and you present it at the 17thEPH Conference, it will be published in the Abstract Supplement of the European Journal of Public Health (Impact Factor: 4.4).     • Abstract tutoring programme will be open from open 1 February - 9 April. Young and/or less experienced individuals can receive feedback from experienced reviewers. More information HERE.
    • The best single abstract in EPH 2024 will be awarded a waiver for the next conference. More information HERE.
    • The best abstract submitted by a young researcher (under 30y) in EPH 2024, will be awarded a waiver for the next conference. More information HERE
  • The 6th European Public Health Week (EUPHW) will take place between May 13th and 17th, 2024. EUPHW aims to raise awareness and amplify existing messages on the most relevant public health themes at the European and global level. Whether you are an institution, a health professional or an ordinary citizen interested in one of this year's five EUPHW themes, we'd like to invite you to organise your own online event(s) on one of the days of the week.  There are various ways to get involved.   • Safety 2024 – the 15th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, Delhi, India from September 2-4, 2024, and hosted in partnership with injury-related World Health Organization Collaborating Centres in the country. HERE 
  • FIRST GLOBAL MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE ON ENDING VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN. The Governments of Colombia and Sweden, in partnership with WHO, UNICEF and the UN Special Representative of the Secretary General on ending violence against children, will host the first-ever Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, in Bogota, Colombia, from 7 to 8 November 2024.   • Call for expression of interest - 16th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion. The International Organising Committee (IOC) of the bi-annual World Conferences on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion is inviting expressions of interest from organizations interested in hosting the 16th World Conference in 2026. Organizations must be academic, research, non-governmental practice, or governmental in nature (for-profit enterprises or commercial conference centres are ineligible). More information HERE
  • Call for expression of interest to host the 19th European Conference on Traumatic Stress in June 2027. The ESTSS board of directors expects to select the winning bid by June 15, 2024.
