OUR SECTION'S INVOLVEMENT IN EU-FUNDED PROJECTS
EUPHA INJ section is involved in the Scientific Advisory Groups of the following EU projects:

  • SAFEST (HERE)
  • The project will look at the entire journey before, during, and after surgery (often referred to as perioperative safety and care). Especially considering how several studies have shown that most adverse events linked to surgery occur outside the operating room. The project aims at: a) identifying and agreeing on a unified set of perioperative practices based on evidence, and b) promoting their implementation across Europe involving healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • VIPROM (Victim Protection in Medicine, HERE).
  • The project aims at developing curricula on domestic violence tailored to the medical profession groups such as physicians, nurses, midwives, dentists, other healthcare professionals, and medical students in close cooperation with medical faculties, hospitals, research organisations, medical educators and victim protection organisations in Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy and Sweden. The goal is to provide sustainable, organisationally embedded, and institutionally recognised training for professionals from different medical fields. Train-the-trainer programs will be conducted so that the curricula developed in VIPROM can be implemented in pilot trainings in each of the stakeholder groups with high quality.
