Dear Section members,

We are happy to share the results of the votes of support for Marius Ungureanu. Marius is the new EUPHA-HWR section President as of November. Congratulations Marius!

We would like to take the opportunity to thank Ellen Kuhlman and her team for the fantastic work for the section and her support to EUPHA and we wish Ellen and the team all the best in their future endeavours.

Join the network meeting at EPH Conference

For those that have registered for the EPH Conference in Dublin, which is held from 8-11 November, you can meet Ellen and Marius during the section's Join the network meeting on Thursday 9 November from 12:50 – 13:50 in room Liffey meeting room 2. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn what is going on in the healthcare workforce network and make contacts as well as sharing your own research and ideas.

EPH Conference Dublin

The section is (co)organising several workshops at the conference. 

Special Health Workforce satellite event at EPH Conference in Dublin
Wednesday 8 November from 18.00-20.00, RCSI campus, St Stephens Green.
Organised by Dr Niamh Humphries and hosted by the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI; https://www.rcsi.com/dublin/) and EUPHA-HWR section, the event will involve expert presentations from Tomas Zapata (WHO Europe), Ellen Kuhlmann (EUPHA-HWR) and Niamh Humphries (RCSI), and opportunity  for networking and collaboration. EUPHA-HWR Midterm Conference, 11-12 April 2024, Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Under the theme ‘Investing in healthcare workforce governance: strengthen equity, inclusion and mental health & well-being’, this midterm conference is organised in collaboration with the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe, the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies and the Department of Public Health at Babeș-Bolyai University, hosted by Marius Ungureanu and Monica Brinzac (EUPHAnxt Coordinator). A Call for Papers and further information is available at the conference website.

Deadline for abstract submission is 27 November 2023.

There will be no participation fee thanks to funding from a EUPHA Operating Grant; participants must pay for their travel/accommodation.
