The registration for our yearly is open until 1 May 18.00 hrs CET. We hereby cordially invite all Section members to submit abstracts on HSR Topics to the conference, to take place in Lisbon, Portugal from 13-15 November 2024.
We also want to invite you to a EUPHA-Springschool organised by our Section and a survey to collect your priorities for future health services research. Let us start the conversation and gain momentum until Lisbon.
Support by the Section relating to your abstract submission
- Co-Authorship/ Co-Presenting: Are you thinking about submitting an individual abstract or workshop to the EPH and would like support or endorsement of the HSR-Section? Do you want other EUPHA-HSR members to contribute to your workshop as a speaker, presenter, moderator? Do let us know, and see our contact details below.
- Topics needs / Proposals as pre-conference: We welcome proposals from our Section members to be included in our potential preconferences and/or satellite events.
Share your good news with fellow HSR section members
- Inform the HSR-Section on good news and useful resources: Do you have good news to share with fellow HSR section members? We would love to know about e.g. projects or articles of relevance to the HSR section.
- Look for partners to strengthen your project: Are you looking for partners for a project proposal? Do you need advice in grant writing? Feel free to reach out, so we can support where possible.
- Share your story: Beyond information, have you gained any professional or personal experiences or insights that you would like to share with the Section?
Strengthen our joint work
- Invite lecturers or advisers to your institution (incoming): If you need virtual or in-person support on specific topics, we can help you find suitable partners.
- Looking to be invited as a guest speaker or adviser to other institutions (outgoing)? If you are willing to travel abroad or provide virtual support on specific topics to others, we would be happy to know about the topics you can volunteer to cover.
Invitation to inform the Partnership on Transforming Health Systems and wider Horizon Europe programme via a survey
- The Partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems aims to fund transnational research projects via dedicated calls from more than 30 funding agencies, including a call for proposals by 14 May 2024 (see ).
- The Partnership is running an online survey to identify priorities for future research on health and care systems and services, as well as views on transfer of innovation and research-policy linkage. Section members are invited to respond and the survey is open until at least 30 April via

Health Service Research Methods Spring School - see our separate newsletter on this whether you want to join as a participant or if you want to volunteer to support as a co-faculty of facilitator, please also let us know. It will take place during the last week of June 2024 and is free of charge.
EUPHA-HSR section steering committee: Do you want to engage more often and take more responsibilities to support our HSR section? We would be happy if you can offer some of your valuable time. Let us know about your interest in joining the EUPHA HSR steering committee. Activities include i.e. contributing to joint statements, editorials or section events, like our incoming Spring School.
