The EUPHA-HIA presidency of section president Piedad Martin-Olmedo is coming to an end after two terms of three years. According to the EUPHA Section Rules a new president needs to be elected and appointed by November 2023.

We are looking for a person who is a member of EUPHA, who has working experiences in the field of health impact assessment and ideally works in a public health institute. 
The appointment is for a term of three years with the option of renomination for a second three-year term.
The EUPHA-HIA presidency is a great opportunity to collaborate with various European health information experts.

Any costs for travel and requested attendance to meetings/conferences is reimbursed by EUPHA.

Please send a meaningful motivation letter and your CV until Friday 29 September, noon CEST 2023 to office@EUPHA.org (subject EUPHA-HIA presidency).

What happens next?

  • applicants are checked by the EUPHA office for EUPHA membership and conflict of interest and you will be asked to sign a conflict of interest form upon election;
  • nominations are sent to the Section President and the Steering Committee for discussion;
  • applications of final nominees are forwarded to section members for voting;
  • the votes of the section members are collected centrally at the EUPHA office by means of an anonymous Google form;
  • the applicant with the highest number of votes is elected as Section President.

The vice-president is nominated by the new section president along with the EUPHA-HIA Steering Group.
