Best regards, EUPHA Foresight Section Team Webinar 26 January, 2024: Future-proofing the EU AMR Action Plan – Applying futures methods to complex public health challenges. Sarah Parkinson, RAND Europe Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a serious public health concern and has been deemed a top priority amongst public health authorities internationally. In 2017, the European Commission published the European One Health Action Plan against AMR, which set out objectives and priory areas for actions across EU/EEA Member States. In this webinar, we will present a future-proofing study of the Action Plan. This study included developing a series of scenarios for how AMR might develop over the next ten years, in order to gather stakeholder perspectives on how the Plan can be improved to mitigate against future risks, take advantage of future opportunities and move towards more favourable futures. This webinar will focus on both how future methodologies can be applied to think through complex public health challenges, and on the results of the study.
