Dear EUPHA Chronic diseases section members,

I hope this message finds you well. We wanted to share some important updates, event reminders, and opportunities for your involvement as we enter a busy and exciting season for our section.

September Webinar Reminder

We are delighted to announce our first webinar of the month, featuring Prof. Antonio Sarría-Santamera, who will be discussing "The Need to Accelerate Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases in Central Asia". This session promises to be both fascinating and insightful, highlighting a region that often requires greater public health attention.

Join the Network Meeting

We are also excited to invite you to our "Join the Network" meeting, which will take place during the lunch break on Thursday, 14th November, at the upcoming European Public Health Conference in Lisbon. This will be an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow members, discuss key initiatives, and collaborate on advancing our collective mission to tackle chronic diseases across Europe. Please make sure to join us if you are attending the conference!

Survey Opportunity – Global IBD Project

In addition to these events, we would like to share a survey from one of our esteemed colleagues, Virginia Solitano, an Italian clinician scientist. The survey is part of the project titled “Global Agenda Prioritizing Research to Improve Management and Public Health Responses to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)”. Your participation would be greatly appreciated and will contribute to shaping global research priorities for IBD.

IOIBD project survey (surveymonkey.com)

We encourage you to take a few moments to complete this survey, as your input is invaluable to the success of this important initiative.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or suggestions, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

Warm regards,

Sarah (Vice-President)
