Dear EUPHA Chronic diseases section members,

This year the Chronic Disease Section has set forward several new initiatives and opportunities for our  members to engage and interact with other colleagues. The first initiative was the monthly webinar. The second webinar took place on the 29th of February at 4pm CET, where Prof. Orsolya Varga and her team, Nour Mahrouseh and Carlos Alexandre Soares presented their research “A national and sub-national analysis of diabetes mellitus prevalence and health inequalities in Europe”.

The next webinar is set for the 28th of March at 4pm CET, where our colleague from Israel, Dr. Yael Bar-Zeev, will be presenting her work entitled “How are tobacco companies circumventing tobacco control legislation in Israel? ”. Register for this webinar here.

We urge you to connect with us if you are interested to contribute to future webinars. Feel free to reach out on: sarah.cuschieri@um.edu.mt
