WHO Advisory Council on Innovation for Noncommunicable Diseases: Fostering a public health movement to accelerate action on NCDsWHO Regional Office for Europe is organizing a meeting of the Advisory Council on Noncommunicable Diseases on Wednesday 9 November, 12:30 – 17:30 (room Alpha 2), as a pre-conference of the EPH Conference in Berlin. For this meeting and subsequent actions and collaboration, WHO Europe is looking for expertise and input from EUPHA, in particular EUPHA Sections. You are kindly invited to participate in this important meeting. A joint plan with commitments to move the agenda forward will be developed between the NCDs Councillors, EUPHA sections, and SI leads. Finally, we will outline EUPHA’s potential contribution on the path towards the fourth High Level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on the prevention and control of NCDs in 2025 with a specific focus on Europe’s role in delivering this. The meeting will be opened and closed by Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe and myself as EUPHA President. Keynote speakers are Ilona Kickbush and Martin McKee.
