Dear colleagues, I wish to highlight 3 important forthcoming activities which you are all invited to attend:
EUPHA is organizing for WHO Europe an in-person meeting of the WHO NCD Advisory Council (of which our president Iveta Nagyova is a member) on Wednesday 9 November, 12:30 – 18:00, hub27 Berlin (during the European Public Health Conference being held in Berlin). The meeting is open for members of the EUPHA network and EPH Conference delegates. It’s free of charge but registration is required. There is room for 60 people and it’s settled on a first come, first served basis so book right away! Lunch is included. People can add the meeting to their conference programme in their personal account. ABSTRACT: This meeting brings councillors from the Regional Directors Advisory Council on Innovation for Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDAC) together with EUPHA and its partners to explore ways of best leveraging one another’s capacities to control and prevent NCDs in line with the NCDAC roadmap and its six Signature Initiatives (SI) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) commitments on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). A joint plan with commitments to move the agenda forward will be developed between the Councillors, EUPHA sections and SI leads. Finally, we will outline EUPHA’s potential contribution on the path towards the fourth High Level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on the prevention and control of NCDs in 2025 with a specific focus on Europe’s role in delivering this.
Nov 2, 2:00PM As chairperson of EUPHA’s Green club I urge you all to attend.
