Welcome to the October edition of the EUPHAnxt newsletter. We hope Autumn is off to a great start and you are keeping well. Thank you to all who applied for our internship and talent manager role. We will soon introduce the new EUPHAnxt team member on our social media platform, so stay tuned if you want to get to know them.

SAVE THE DATE: Our social evening for the upcoming #EPH2023 is scheduled for Thursday, November 9th 2023. We will announce the exact location in our next newsletter and on our social media channels. We look forward to meeting you all in Dublin for traditional Irish music!

Are you interested in attending the upcoming EPH conference in Dublin, Ireland but you’re finding it hard to find affordable accommodation?   Upcoming events









The transdisciplinary conference on Connecting Health and Climate Change brings together researchers, experts, policy makers, and NGO and private sector representatives, from all career stages. The conference hybrid conference is organised by ENBEL and further details and registration can be found here.

Health for All is the Goal – World Health Summit is the Forum. The World Health Summit brings you the world’s leading international, inter-sectoral and inclusive global health conference that will set the agenda for a healthier future. The summit will be held both in-person (Berlin, Germany) and on-line. Learn more and register (with the special student fees!) here!

Together with 16 European partners, EUPHA is involved in the HealthData@EU pilot project, coordinated by the French Health Data Hub. The stakeholder forum, which is a public event intended for experts, professionals and decision-makers in the (digital) health sector across Europe, is scheduled for October 19, 2023. The 16th European Public Health Conference (EPH) will be held in Dublin, Ireland and the conference will focus on a sustainable future. Learn more about the conference and register here. The pre-conference programme for the #EPH2023 will take place on Wednesday, November 8th and the full event list can be found on the conference website. Please note: pre-conference registration is a separate registration from the main conference and registration fees are €75 and €150, and sponsored pre-conferences are €20. All include a networking buffet lunch.

ESCAIDE is the European Scientific Conference for Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology, organised by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control  (ECDC). The call for abstracts for this year’s conference is now closed. Registration is free and the conference is available online, as well as in person (Barcelona, Spain). Learn more here!

The EU4Health programme goes beyond an ambitious response to the COVID-19 crisis to address the resilience of European healthcare systems. The deadline for applications is October 17, 2023. Learn more about the available calls for action grants here.

Giving Health a Voice is the podcast of the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA), bringing public health to the fore and discussing the most pressing issues with experts in the field. It will speak to both those with a stake in health and those whose health is at stake. The sixth episode explores the economy of well-being with head of WHO European Office for Investment for Health and Development. Listen here!
