Dear colleagues,

This year EUPHA offers a place for discussion on emerging public health issues through various events. The EPH 2025 conference and the European Public Health Week 2025 are premier events that bring together researchers, academicians, public health specialists, healthcare practitioners, policymakers from all over Europe to present their research and new ideas in all fields of public health.

Our section is planning to organize workshops and hold various events in collaboration with other EUPHA sections. We are interested in hearing your ideas and hosting your events, individual abstracts, round table discussions and workshops on INJURY PREVENTION & SAFETY PROMOTION. We invite you to submit your ideas HERE or contact us HERE to offer you various ways of engagement in our section events.

• The 18th EPH Conference will be held in Helsinki, Finland from 12 – 14 November 2025. Pre-conferences on 11 November 2025. Theme of the EPH conference 2025 is: Investing for sustainable health and well-being. Read more HERE.

  • Abstract submission is open until 1 May 2025, 18:00 CET (Workshops, oral presentations, pitch presentations and ePosters).
  • Abstract tutoring programme will be open until 9 April. Young and/or less experienced individuals can receive feedback from experienced reviewers. More information  HERE.

• Get involved with European Public Health Week 2025 – event submission now open!
  Mark your calendars! The seventh European Public Health Week (EUPHW) will take place from 12 to 16 May 2025, focusing on the theme Innovation for Resilience: Shaping a Sustainable Future. This annual event brings together public health professionals, policymakers, students, and citizens from across Europe to explore how innovation can strengthen public health systems and promote sustainability in a rapidly evolving world.

• Host Your Own Event
  The event submission platform for EUPHW 2025 is now open! We invite organizations and individuals across Europe to contribute by hosting an event aligned with this year’s theme. Events may take various forms, including webinars, workshops, local initiatives, and policy discussions, and can be held in-person, online, or hybrid.
  We encourage you to take part and help advance the public health dialogue. Submit your event by 5 May 2025 and be part of shaping a healthier, more sustainable future.

• EU-SAFETY 2025 – the 12th European Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, Heraklion, Greece from September 30, October 1 & 2, 2025, organized by the European Association for Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (EuroSafe) and hosted in partnership with the Hellenic Mediterranean University (LaHeRS/HMU), with the support of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), UNICEF, the Ministry of Health and all Safety Authorities and Centres in the country.
