Dear section colleagues and friends

here is comprehensive update from the EUPHA Health Promotion Section.

The EUPHA-HP section would like to express its empathy for all the victims of the tragedy of war that is rampant, to all of those that had to leave their homes and places of dwelling, that need to carry on their lives wounded, handicapped, with the missing of their relatives, neighbors, friends or colleagues. We unite our voices to the strongest appeal that in Nagorno-Karabakh, Ukraine, Middle East, and everywhere else, guns are set aside and people’s lives are respected.

1) After 7 years serving the EUPHA-HP section as president it is time to move forward with new perspectives and new faces in our section leadership. Therefore as an election process is moving on and you are called to vote for the next president, we would like to invite you for a meeting tomorrow here where you can encounter the candidates, ask your questions and receive their answers regarding the EUPHA-HP section future plans.

This will happen at 12.00 (CET) tomorrow, the 20 th October, with the following agenda:

2) Dublin is just around the corner: in two weeks we will meet for the European Public Health Conference (EPH 2023) focusing on “Our Food, Our Health, Our Earth: A Sustainable Future for Humanity”.

You can still register (if you have not done that yet!) and join us here for our workshops and pre-conference Health literacy, health education and healthy life styles: connections and contradictions towards sustainability and the role of Salutogenesis

3) You are invited to join the HeLiCA Chair Academy, a common space to deepen Health Promotion pillars to a higher level of impact. After the very successful first intensive week, you can join us now for the extended HeLiCA program starting the 6 of November. Register today and be part of the solution for sustainability with the course “Health literacy and Healthy Lifestyles: from theory to practice!”.

3) There is not much time left for abstract submission (30 of November) for the 12th IUHPE European Conference on Health Promotion (17-18.06.2024) & the 7th International Conference on Salutogenesis (19-20.06.2024).
