EUPHAnxt is looking for an enthusiastic person to lead and coordinate the activities of EUPHAnxt on professional and personal development. In particular, coordinating the EUPHAnxt mentoring programme. In general, the person should contribute to EUPHAnxt’s mission to create a network between young professionals, strengthen the presence of young professionals in the European public health community and build collaborations with associations of young professionals. Some of the activities of this role include:
- Be the primary responsible for planning and managing our professional career development opportunities.
- Coordinating the EUPHAnxt mentoring programme, which includes maintaining contacts with the mentors, mentees.
- Participating in the regular meetings of the EUPHAnxt team.

EUPHA internship
Supporting the next generation of public health professionals
Duration: 4 months, starting October 2023 (negotiable) Position type: part-time, four days per week Location: This position is based at the Babes-Bolyai University in Romania.
Internship description
The European Public Health Association (EUPHA) is offering an internship opportunity at the university where the EUPHAnxt coordinator is based, i.e. Babes-Bolyai University, Romania. The intern will support EUPHAnxt in their mission to advance opportunities for young public health professionals in Europe, including two main tasks i) supporting the various opportunities for young professionals at the European Public Health conference 2023, and ii) support the talent development pilot programme.
Please note that the internship activities and tasks will be confirmed at the start of the internship. The activities and tasks can be adapted in order to best fit the needs of the intern and the needs of EUPHA.

Candidate profile
- We are looking for a young professional in public health that is studying or recently graduated and:
- Has a background in public health.
- Is interested in European public health.
- Works accurately, independently and in an organised manner. And dares to ask questions.
- Has a good command of the English language.
- Eligible to do an internship in Romania (work/study permit).
Reimbursement
Financial support for accommodation, in and outbound travel, as well as a monthly allowance of 300 euro per month are provided. At the end of the internship a EUPHA expenses claim form can be submitted. Costs for travel and accommodation can be submitted (receipts should be included). The costs for travel and accommodation will only be reimbursed if they are within the prior agreed amount. So please get a written confirmation before making any financial commitments to ensure that the costs will be reimbursed. It is the intern’s own responsibility to find accommodation. As, unfortunately, we are not able to arrange accommodation.
