European Public Health Conference Wrap-Up
|

|
As the next generation network within EUPHA – European Public Health Association, we were delighted with the presence and collaboration among young public health professionals during the #EPH2024. Every year, we strive to grow as a network and we use the conference as a catalyst for growth. We were involved in over ten events throughout the conference days, including pre-conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings, and round tables. In alignment with our current mission, we believe that EUPHAnxt created a broader network of young professionals in public health, fostered collaboration, and strengthened our presence in public health community. We’d like to thank all those who participated in our conference events!
A very special thanks to all of our #EPH2024 fellows who dedicated their time, effort, and expertise to the conference this year, including Jack Haywood, Seyma Yusra Soganda Misirligil, Claudia Cosma, Nunzio Zotti, Ekaterina Volevach, and Hannah van Kolfschooten. The EPH podcast episodes are available to listen on our SoundCloud channel:
It’s been an unforgettable conference and we look forward to seeing you next year in Helsinki!

Reflections on the First Edition!
We recently concluded the first edition of the mentoring programme, and we’re excited to share some of the experiences from our mentees. The first one we would like to share is from Sophie Eicher, our Outreach Manager for the EUPHAnxt Team, who participated as a mentee in the Public Mental Health section. She had a valuable experience working with her mentor, Linda Montanari (Principal scientist — Health and social responses, Public health unit, European Union Drugs Agency, Lisbon, Portugal) and even had the chance to meet during the last 17th European Public Health Conference in Lisbon. Here’s a photograph of their first meeting in person after many months working online! Click to read the blogpost!
