Charlotte Marchandise is an international expert, trainer, and policy advisor specializing in Health, Climate, and Democracy. She has been working closely with organizations, cities, and countries to provide support and guidance in developing effective strategies that not only speak to present needs but also forecast future requirements, towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
From 2014-2020, she served as Deputy Mayor for Health in Rennes and took on significant roles including President of the WHO Healthy Cities French Network and Chair of the Political Vision Group of European Healthy Cities. She champions a unified approach, embracing whole-of-government and whole-of-society perspectives, and bases strategies on robust community empowerment and interventional research.
Committed to health diplomacy and fostering cooperation across diverse sectors, she links universities, grassroots movements, networks, and ministries, translating theoretical frameworks into practical action. Charlotte views Public Health as a critical driver for intersectoral collaboration and action, ensuring impactful, equitable and evidence-based policies strategies that shape a healthier, more sustainable future.
