European Public Health Week 2026 (EPHW)
Dates: 4–8 May 2026
As you know, EPHW is a flagship initiative led by EUPHA. The overarching theme for 2026 is: “Investing for sustainable health and well-being.” EPHW is open to everyone – from institutions and professionals to students and civil society.
We are proud to highlight CAPH’s active contribution this year: participating in the panel alongsideChildlight, a global institute – European policymakers and leading experts addressing child sexual abuse and online harms.
Panel: “A Hidden Health Crisis in Europe” Tuesday, 5 May 10:00–11:30 CET
This session builds on recent research (including a Lancet report) exploring public health approaches to preventing trafficking and child sexual abuse.
Key issues include:
Gaps in international policing frameworks (e.g. Interpol limitations)
Delays in urgent cross-border action
The need for stronger, coordinated European-level responses
Balancing child protection with individual rights and freedoms
CAPH Priority Areas for 2026
These priorities reflect both emerging challenges and ongoing commitments in child and adolescent public health. The themes are closely interconnected and highlight the need for integrated, upstream, and systems-based approaches to improving health outcomes for children and young people.
Social media and regulation to protect the safety of children and reduce online harms
Mental health
Reducing obesity
Reducing health inequalities – eliminating child poverty and improving prospects for young adults
Improving health literacy (e.g. vaccine uptake in undervaccinated children)
We welcome collaborations that align with our mission. Get in touch!
