EUPHAnxt newsletter

Dear EUPHAnxt subscribers,

Welcome to the June edition of the EUPHAnxt newsletter. Last month, we participated in another successful European Public Health Week, which focused on global issues and local actions. EUPHAnxt was involved in several events, including “Different perspectives of access to health” and “Skills and competencies for global emergency response” webinars. Also, we had a social media campaign with the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) titled “Spotting the Signs: How to Identify Mental Health Condition in Your Friends?” We hope you enjoyed the full week as much as we did.

Applications for the mentoring programme are now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied for the programme and we look forward to informing all our mentors and mentees of their assignment. We cannot wait to kick off this exciting opportunity with you all. We are pleased to welcome Mojdeh as our new EUPHAnxt team member, who will join us as the talent manager.

Do you have a couple extra minutes in your day? Please complete this survey by the WHO-ASPHER Competencies for Public Health Workforce. We are interested in your perspective on important and relevant competencies for young and early career researchers!

Additionally, applications for the fellowship programme for the upcoming European Public Health conference in Dublin, Ireland are now open! Please see below for information on how to apply, as well as several other opportunities at this conference. We are happy to inform that 25 abstracts got feedback in Abstract Tutoring Programme this year. 20 were submitted and 18 accepted for the #EPH2023! Big thank you to our tutors and congratulations to submitters!

As always, we are very excited to share opportunities and events which could be relevant to you, as young public health professionals. You are encouraged to share similar content with us and we would be pleased to disseminate it to our network. Be sure to check out our socials (see icons above). EUPHAnxt is open to partner with student organisations in Europe. If you are a part of an organisation that may be interested in joining forces, or if you have any recommendations for the next newsletter, please contact us.

NOTE: If you wish to receive the monthly newsletter directly to your inbox and avoid it going directly to spam, please add euphanxt@eupha.org to your contacts/address book.

Thanks for tuning in this month,

The EUPHAnxt team,

(Charlotte, Monica, Jinane & Mojdeh)
