Dear colleagues, The Urban Public Health section are pleased to announce that we are joining forces with the Environment and Health section, the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) and the ENBEL project (Enhancing Belmont Research Action to support EU policy making on climate change and health) to host a webinar on how climate change affects our health on day 3 of European Public Health Week, Wednesday 18th May at 09:00 CEST. This joint event by EUPHA, HEAL and ENBEL will officially kick off the theme of the third day of the European Public Health Week. Climate change threatens the basic elements of life such as access to clean air, water, food and shelter - and with that human health. According to the WHO, climate change is the greatest threat to human health in the 21st century. But it could also be the greatest global health opportunity. This interactive event includes presentations by HEAL, ENBEL and the EUPHA sections on Environment and Health and Urban Public Health. Speakers will be:

We will also be celebrating European Public Health Week with a number of online interactive activities throughout the week of 16th May, so please follow our Twitter account @EUPHA_UPH<https://twitter.com/eupha_uph> if you don't already. We will also share further details in advance of the week. 10th International Festival of Public HealthThe Urban Public Health section will also be partnering with the 10th International Festival of Public Health, to be hosted at The University of Manchester and online on Thursday July 21st. The conference has two main themes, with Urban Health being one of them.
