Dear colleagues,

we hope that you are well in these challenging times. And we hope for your continued interest in our section and the areas we cover. Social security, work and health are more important than ever during the pandemic. Remember to login to your EUPHA account once a year to stay a member in our section. And don't forget to tell your colleagues about the section.

We encourage you all to send in abstracts to the upcoming digital conference 10-12 November 2021. This year we know from start that the conference will be digital and the EUPHA office is already working hard to adapt the conference to a creative and inspiring meeting.

Prepare your abstracts and submit before deadline 1 May 2021, 18.00 pm ECT.

You are also welcome to submit abstracts for workshops. Note that due to the digital format only 60 minutes long workshops are possible. As before, professor Kristina Alexanderson, our former section president, is willing to review abstracts for workshop to optimize the scientific clarity and presentation and thereby also a better chance for the workshops to be accepted. You can e-mail Kristina at kristina.alexanderson@ki.se

Workshops are also a good opportunity to connect with other researchers in our network. Looking forward to your contributions.

We will have a pre-conference the 10 November before lunch. The program is not finalized yet but make a reservation for this even if you are not planning to participate in the full conference.

And now I am happy to present an initiative from our futures group inspired by the digital pre-conference last year. Seven young researchers will present at this digital seminar. We hope to see you there!

Welcome to a first in-between conference seminar from the Section of Social Security Work and Health!

At this digital seminar we will aim to showcase the range of research going on within the research field by letting a number of junior researchers present their PhD-projects. We will also allow plenty of time for questions and discussions. We hope that many will take the opportunity to meet up and be inspired!

When? 16th of March at 14.00-16.00 (CET)

The seminar is free, but you need to sign up beforehand to receive the link to the meeting. Please register by sending an email to annika.evolahti@ki.se
