Submitted workshop proposals for Rome 2019

In preparation for this year’s European Public Health Conference in Rome, the EUPHA Sexual and Gender Minority Health section submitted five workshop proposals. We would like to thank all members who contributed to abstracts and workshop proposals. Our collective efforts help increase new knowledge and visibility of our important research field. In light of the nationwide lockdowns imposed on many countries as a response to the ongoing pandemic, the Congress Management Committee has decided to move the 16th World Congress on Public Health into a virtual congress to be held 12 – 17 October 2020. What this will mean for all planned activities will be decided in the coming weeks. We hope to have more news on which proposals made it into the conference program by mid-June.

Online lecture during the European Public Health Week

The EUPHA Sexual and Gender Minority Health section is presenting an online lecture as part of the European Public Health Week. During this lecture, Dr. Richard Bränström (Karolinska Institute, Sweden) will present current research concerning the mental health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals. It will take place as part of a live webinar organized by EUPHA and the University of Manchester, Thursday, May 14th between 13.00-15.00 CEST and is open to all who are interested. The live stream of the lecture will be available on this web page (https://tinyurl.com/EUPHW-Day4).
