Dear section colleagues and friends

here is comprehensive update from the EUPHA Health Promotion Section.

- 14th European Public Health Conference 2021 (EPH 2021):

The submission for the 14th European Public Health Conference 2021 (EPH 2021, from 10-12 November 2021) is open until the 1 May 2021. The title of this year`s conference is Public health futures in a changing world (please find further info here: Virtual event EPH 2021 )

- We`d be more than happy to facilitate members in preparing submissions for EPH 2021:

Our Section will organize a Pre-conference and we are also planning to submit a couple of workshops for the EPH 2021. We`d be more than happy to facilitate members in preparing submissions. If any member would like to be part of a Health Promotion Section workshop or organize one with the Section support, please send us a proposal here by the 20th of March. Please specify (1) your name, (2) contact details including institution, (3) topic and rational for the proposal, and finally, (4) the abstract of your submission. We will try to compile workshops from received abstracts. If you are interested in getting in touch with other colleagues of the Section, please send us your interest of participation no later than the 20 March by completing this form. (Note: This does not replace or substitute your individual submissions - you can submit individual abstract directly here).

- Call for abstracts EXTENDED until 10 March 2021:

The 11th IUHPE European Conference on Health Promotion of the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) will also be organized as a virtual event from 15-16 June 2021. The theme of the conference is 'Health Promotion: Transformative action in a changing Europe' In addition, IUHPE celebrates its 70th anniversary as part of the conference with great keynote speakers and guests. From 17-18 June 2021, the Society for Theory And Research on Salutogenesis (STARS) will organize its 6th international conference. You can submit abstracts for both conferences here until the 10 of March (only two days left)

- Special Call for proposals for the International Handbook of Teaching and Learning Health Promotion: Practices and reflections from around the world  

Call for Chapters for the Handbook of Teaching and Learning Health Promotion: Practices and reflections from around the world is open to all individuals and groups who conduct research on health promotion practices, and who want to advance health promotion research by reflecting on and sharing their own research practices. The deadline for submitting the outlines is the 15 April 2021.

- Get involved in the European Public Health Week

the European Public Health Week (from the 17-21 May 2021 "Joining forces for healthier populations") is the right place for you to organise your own online event(s) on one or more days of the week. Please fill in the event submission form by 5 May 2021
