Dear colleagues,

We ask your attention for the EU-wide survey on the EU School fruit, vegetables and milk scheme

The PPMI research institute is conducting an EU-wide survey as part of the evaluation of the EU School fruit, vegetables and milk scheme (hereafter, the ‘Scheme’) commissioned by DG Agriculture and Rural Development. You, among other European citizens and stakeholders, are invited to participate in the survey and share your opinion about the Scheme. Your answers will help to improve the school food systems across the EU and make them healthier and more sustainable.

What is it about?

The Commission has launched a review of this Scheme as part of the Farm to Fork Strategy and efforts to move towards more healthy and sustainable food systems across the EU. This survey is part of the activities to evaluate the Scheme, focusing on whether it has been effective in fostering healthy food production, distribution, and consumption, is relevant to the current and evolving needs and wishes of the European citizens and adds value to national initiatives and priorities in the Member States. Based on its results, PPMI Group and AFC will develop recommendations on how the Scheme can be revised/improved.

Who are the target groups?

  • Parents (of 2–19-year-old children)
  • Teachers (early, primary and secondary education)
  • National stakeholders (public authorities, academia, think tanks, business associations)
  • International stakeholders (EU-level associations, networks and lobby organisations, Staff of the EU institutions, bodies and agencies, the members of the EU representative bodies)

The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and it is completely anonymous. To participate in the survey, please click on the stakeholder group you belong to:

Your contribution is very valuable for the research! Please share your experience until October 7, 2022 and forward it also to other relevant people you might know. If you have questions for the team, you can always reach out through school-scheme@ppmi.lt.

Best regards,
Sonia Saxena, section President
