Dear EUPHA Chronic Diseases Section Members,

We hope you had a wonderful and restful summer! As we transition into the fall, we’re excited to reconnect with all of you and share updates on the activities and initiatives lined up for the coming months.

The summer season began on a high note with the successful launch of our first-ever symposium, From Single Chronic Disease to Multimorbidity Prevention, Surveillance, and Public Health Policy: The Need for Multisectoral Approaches, held at Santé Publique France (SpF) in Paris. This groundbreaking event set the stage for future discussions on multimorbidity and the importance of integrated approaches in public health. We are pleased to announce that many more similar symposia are planned, and we look forward to your participation in these thought-provoking exchanges.

As fall begins, our monthly webinar series is back! Mark your calendars for the last Thursday of each month at 4 PM CET. We are excited to have Prof. Antonio Sarría-Santamera as our first guest in September. He will be discussing "The Need to Accelerate Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases in Central Asia" on 26 September at 4 PM CEST. We hope you can join us for what promises to be a fascinating and informative session. Register here!

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to share that several workshops organized by the Chronic Diseases Section have been accepted for the upcoming European Public Health Conference in Lisbon this November! We invite you to join us at the "Join the Network" meeting, which will be held during the lunch break on Friday 15 November. It will be a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and explore future collaborations.

If any of you would like to present your research as part of our monthly webinar series, please feel free to reach out to us at sarah.cuschieri@um.edu.mt . We are always eager to highlight the fantastic work being done by our members.

We look forward to a productive and engaging fall season with many opportunities to share knowledge, foster collaborations, and advance the field of chronic disease prevention and management.

Warm regards,

Sarah (Vice-President)
