Dear colleagues,

As part of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), our Section contributes to connecting researchers and professionals across Europe, building knowledge, and influencing policy.

This year, EUPHA faces a major challenge: the European Commission has abruptly cancelled all NGO operating grants for 2025. In previous years, EUPHA received around €400,000 annually and had agreements for €700,000, but was suddenly left with nothing. Without bridging this gap, the ability of EUPHA — and our Sections — to defend science, equity, and public health at European level is at risk.

That is why EUPHA has launched the solidarity campaign “U are Public Health.” It allows everyone — professionals, students, policymakers, and citizens — to engage personally by becoming a U*Member, starting from €10.

This is complementary to your engagement with our Section. Sections remain the scientific backbone of EUPHA. U*Membership is an additional, individual way to show solidarity and ensure we can continue our activities.

You can join here: https://whydonate.com/fundraising/eupha

By becoming a U*Member, you will:

  • Stand in solidarity with public health in Europe.
  • Add your personal voice alongside your Section membership.
  • Contribute to keeping science and public health strong in Europe.

Every contribution counts. Together, we can keep our Section and EUPHA alive and strong.

Best regards,
