SOME SECTION’S NEWS OF 2025
Some section 2025 initiatives that are aligned to our strategic goals can be found below. It is our effort to keep evolving to meet the changing needs of our members. More precisely EUPHA Injury Section: 

  • Co-organized awareness raising events on SAFE DRIVING during the European Public Health Week (EPHW2025) in May-June 2025, together with municipalities and NGOs in Greece HERE
  • Co-organized a webinar titled: “VR technology for safe commuting in teenagers” held on Thursday, 15 May 2025 by the SAFETeen consortium HERE and HERE.
  • Participated at the Annual Conference of the European Burns Association in Berlin, on 3 September 2025 and the section vice president Dr Johan Lund delivered a lecture titled “Lessons from Public Health” during the “Plenary session 2: Prevention of burn injuries” HERE
  • EUPHA-INJ participated in the General Assembly of the Horizon project “ProtAct-Us from long-term consequences of road crashes” (2024-2027) in Heraklion, Greece on 29 September 2025. This project received funding under grant agreement No. 101147445 and the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) is a partner of this consortium. HERE
  • Contributed to the 12th European Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (EU-SAFETY 2025) held on 30 September and 1-2 October 2025 in Heraklion Greece. Presented a poster on “Injury Prevention in Europe: Priorities, Challenges, and the Road Ahead – The Mission of the EUPHA Injury Prevention Section” presented at EU-SAFETY 2025. HERE
  • Participated in an expert and stakeholder capacity building meeting on the Trauma Surveillance Mechanism of Crete region. HERE
