Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that abstract submission is now open for the Health and Care Workforce Section Mid-Term Conference, co-organized with the European Observatory on Health System and Policies.

The conference will take place on 22-24 April in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and will be co-hosted by the Department of Public Health and the Center for Health Workforce Research and Policy, both within the Babeș-Bolyai University.

The conference will provide a focused platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange evidence and experience on critical health and care workforce challenges, including availability, distribution, performance, governance, and system integration. Contributions addressing workforce issues from a health systems perspective are particularly encouraged.

Abstracts can be submitted via the conference website:
https://hwrconference.publichealth.ro

The mid-term conference aims to strengthen dialogue across countries and disciplines, and to support evidence-informed workforce policies at national and European levels. We warmly invite submissions presenting empirical research, policy analysis, methodological approaches, and innovative practices related to the health and care workforce.

Further details on conference themes, key dates, and practical information are available on the website.

We look forward to receiving your abstracts and to an engaging mid-term conference.

In addition, we are very pleased to share an important update from our community: our colleague Prof. Tiago Correia has started his mandate as Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Public Health. This is a significant achievement and we wish him a successful mandate!

With kind regards,

Health and Care Workforce Section
European Public Health Association (EUPHA)
