Dear colleagues,

Two important events are coming up: the deadline for submission of abstracts and workshops for the 14th European Public Health conference and EUPHA Public Health Week.

1. Regarding the EPH conference:

The Robert Koch Insitute published a comprehensive new women’s health report for Germany at the end of last year, which was worked on for four years (www.rki.de/frauengesundheitsbericht  & www.rki.de/womenshealthreport). They would also like to organise a workshop at the EPH conference. Therefore they are looking for authors/project leaders of three or four women’s health reports from Europe and talk to them about important women’s health issues in their country and about the impact of the reports (and ideas to increase the impact). They scanned about 60 women’s health reports from Europe from an extensive report research (as part of another project). Do you know of any women’s reports that have appeared in recent years? Did you like a report particularly well? Do you know contact persons from the countries who have written such reports or who could recommend reports? They would like to invite the country representatives to the workshop. Please contact Sass, Anke-Christine <SassA@rki.de> if you are intrested and have information on this.

Remember abstract submission for the virtual 14th EPH Conference 2021 is open from 1 February 2021 until 1 May 2021. Abstracts are invited in nearly all subdisciplines of public health, related to research, policy, practice and training. Abstracts can be submitted for workshops, oral presentations and E-posters. Accepted abstracts are published in the Abstract Supplement of the European Journal of Public Health. Do not miss the opportunity to be recognised for your hard work. More information on our website.

2. Regarding the European Public Health Week:

The third edition of the European Public Health Week will take place in less than two months, between 17 and 21 May 2021.

Following the success of the past two editions – with 140+ events registered in 30+ countries each year – we  invitation all EUPHA members to get involved.

This year’s themes are:

You can get involved as:

  • Event Host – organising an event or activity of your choice on this day, submitting it here as soon as possible and no later than 5 May;
  • Disseminator – spreading the word through your networks, e.g. sharing this flyer or social media banners or other visuals from our media toolkit
  • Participant – attending one of the many events taking place across Europe. The events calendar is growing here.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the EUPHW coordinator, Débora Miranda at euphacommunications@db.eupha.org.

Thank you again for being part of #EUPHW and the EUPHA section on Public Health Monitoring and Reporting!

Best regards,
Petronille Bogaert
