We are sending you the May update from the EUPHA Health Services Research (HSR) Section.

Preparations are ongoing for the EUPHA-THSR Spring School, the EUPHA-HSR Mid-Term Conference and the Community Engagement and Dissemination Day, which will take place in Berlin from 22 to 26 June 2026.

We have received more than 70 applications for the Spring School. Confirmations have been sent to selected candidates, and registrations for the connected HSR activities are ongoing. The detailed agenda is currently being finalised and will be circulated as soon as possible.

Colleagues interested in joining the EUPHA-HSR Mid-Term Conference, participating in the THSR team group, or becoming more actively involved in future HSR Section initiatives are invited to contact us at thsr@charite.de.

EUPHA-THSR Spring School 2026
Health, Care and Information Pathways for Strengthening Public Health Systems
Monday 22 to Friday 26 June 2026, Berlin

The second edition of the EUPHA-THSR Spring School on “Translational Health Services Research Methods 2026: Health, Care and Information Pathways for Strengthening Health and Care Systems” is intended for PhD students, researchers and practitioners from public health institutes and academia working towards solving questions from practice.

The focus will be on measuring, evaluating and designing health, care and information pathways to strengthen people-centred care and improve population health.

The Spring School will take place at:

The Spring School is free of charge for accepted participants. Participants will have to cover their own travel, accommodation and related expenses.

EUPHA-HSR Mid-Term Conference
Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June 2026, Berlin

The EUPHA-HSR Mid-Term Conference will take place in Berlin on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June 2026, connected to the EUPHA-THSR Spring School.

The conference is open to EUPHA-HSR Section members. Spring School participants are expected to actively participate and present the results of their group work.

The programme will address health, care and information pathways, service performance evaluation, people-centred care, methodological approaches and future directions for strengthening health and care systems.

Community Engagement and Dissemination Day
Friday 26 June 2026, Berlin

The Community Engagement and Dissemination Day will be held on Friday 26 June 2026 in the afternoon.

The session is open to the general public and to the wider public health community. It will provide an opportunity to discuss the work developed during the Spring School and to engage beyond the academic and professional HSR community.
