We would like to inform you that Prof. Tiago Correia has decided to step down from his role as Vice-President of the EUPHA Section on Health and Care Workforce. This decision follows a careful consideration of his recent appointment as Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Public Health and reflects his commitment to avoiding any potential perception of conflict of interest in future interactions between the Journal and our Section.
While there is no formal incompatibility between these roles, Tiago has chosen to act with integrity and foresight, prioritizing the credibility and transparency of both the Section and the Journal.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for his outstanding service, commitment, and collegiality. His contributions have played an important role in strengthening the Section’s work and community. We warmly congratulate him again on his new role and look forward to continuing our collaboration in other capacities.
