The EARLY project aims to provide robust and representative data on youth mental health across the European region, and to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based interventions. With 19 partners from 14 countries, the initiative is focused on addressing the critical issue of youth mental health in order to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases – particularly mental health conditions – among young people.
Using a mixed-methods approach, the project will develop a comprehensive exposure matrix, investigate perceptions around youth mental health, and generate high-quality data to inform future interventions.
As part of the project, a Europe-wide survey has been launched to better understand the mental health of young people and the factors that influence it. The findings will help shape stronger support systems and more effective policies for youth mental health across the continent. If you are aged 15 to 24 and live in Albania, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, or Switzerland, we invite you to share your experiences and perspectives. The survey is open until 30 September 2025 — take part today and make your voice heard.
