Membership

Membership in the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) connects you to a vibrant community of researchers, policymakers, professionals, and students committed to advancing public health across Europe.

As a member, you gain access to exclusive opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and visibility – while helping shape evidence-based policy and amplify the voice of public health at the European level.

Membership benefits include:

Discounted participation in the European Public Health Conference

Save €100 per person at the EPH Conference — Europe’s largest annual public health gathering.

(Please note that ones account has to be updated with membership before an EPH registration account is set up, in order to enjoy the reduced rate. Once an EPH account has been set up before membership is applied, we cannot adjust to the member rate.)

20% discount on publishing in the European Journal of Public Health
Representation on the EUPHA Governing Board

Shape the strategic direction of EUPHA and influence the European public health agenda.

National Associations have voting rights. Institutes do not have voting rights.

Access to a dynamic network

Engage with experts across Europe through EUPHA Sections, Thematic Networks, the upcoming EUPHA Hub, and project partnerships  and get rapid support through our Rapid Response Team when needed.

Visibility and engagement

Promote your work via EUPHA’s newsletter, social media, and campaigns. Receive tailored support to organize impactful activities during European Public Health Week (EUPHW) in your country.

Bi-monthly “Lunch with EUPHA”

Exclusive online discussions with other national members to exchange on pressing issues (e.g. workforce challenges and recognition, youth mental health, governance). A space to learn, align, and act.

Three free annual training sessions (live and recorded)

Each year, EUPHA offers a cycle of high-value training sessions for its members, including:

    • * Public health communication and media response
  • * Two additional trainings based on member priorities (e.g. ethics and codes of conduct, systems thinking, advocacy, collaborative leadership)

How to apply for EUPHA membership

As an individual

If you, as an individual, would like to join EUPHA then check which national association is already a member of EUPHA and sign up with them. The association will inform us and EUPHA office will either set up a member account or will include membership to your existing account.

Check on our member page which institutes are member of EUPHA. Generally EUPHA office will update your account manually, but contact us through the contact form if this has not been done.

If the two options above do not apply and you are from the WHO European region, and your country is not yet represented as a member and if you intend to set up a national public health association, join us as an individual member.

Send your application letter and CV along with two references to office@eupha.org. The Executive Council will decide on the acceptance.

Individuals from outside the WHO European region are not accepted as individual members.
