Kazakhstan Medical University - Higher School of Public Health (KSPH)

The school was established in 1996 with the aim of training and retraining specialists in public health, advanced training of heads of public health bodies and institutions on current issues of public health, policies and management in modern society.

KSPH is the first institution of such profile in the ex CIS countries and to this day remains the flagship in the field of research advancement and innovation, ideas and practical skills for heads of medical organizations of all levels, primary health care specialists, government officials of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, firmly holding leading positions in education and science in public health. KMU “KSPH” is a partner of the world's leading medical universities, public health schools and research centers in the USA, Finland, Israel, South Korea, Italy, India etc. We are full-fledged members of associations such as the Association of Public Health Schools in the European Region, the Asia-Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health, the International Union of Doctoral Programs, and the International Union for Health Promotion and Health Education.

Leading public health specialists, candidates, PhDs and doctors of medical sciences are among the employees of the KMU “KSPH”. To date, more than 70 doctoral students, about 300 undergraduates and about 9,000 people undergo advanced training each year at KMU “KSPH”.
