European Public Health Week13-17 May 2024 |
|
Health is a political choice! |
There are three ways of getting involved with the 2024 European Public Health Week. You can host an event (or multiple events!) and/or spread the word about the Week and/or participate in events. More details below.
1) Host an event
Learning from each others' experiences in different countries, promoting public health and sharing credible information is more important than ever. Also, other important public health themes should not be forgotten.
Whether you are an institution, a health professional or an ordinary citizen interested in one of this year's EUPHW themes, you may organise your own event(s) on one or more days of the week. Here are some examples of events:
- Webinar lectures and seminars, panel discussions, debates or interviews. This can be online or in real life.
- Social media campaigns (e.g. Instagram live sessions, Twitter chats, Q&A with experts)
- Launch of videos, reports, summaries of previous events, and other publications and materials
- Pre-recorded presentations in video format (E.g. slides + audio narration)
- Online challenges about a certain topic or goal
- Online contests (e.g. photos on a specific topic)
- Mass media interviews
- Movie screenings parties
- Classes and workshops (online or in real life)
- Exhibitions
- Polls and quizzes
- Online training
- Networking events (virtually or in real life)
- Outdoor events in real life
- Cooking classes
Small or big, from local to global - everything is welcome! If you need help in setting up your event, please contact euphacommunications@eupha.org.
Check the events from 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and/or 2023 for further inspiration.
Please note that submissions must align with EUPHA's Code of Good Collaborative Practice.
Also, check this short video with Five tips on how to become an event host:
(This is a 2023 video, but the principles are the same.)
2) Spread the word
Even if you cannot organise your event, spreading the word is also hugely important.
Our media toolkit will help you disseminate important public health messages and promote any EUPHW event, including the one(s) you may be hosting.
It includes ready-to-go visuals in English or your local language for sharing on social media. Alternatively, you can share this website with your colleagues and friends.
Don't forget to use the official hashtags on social media: #EUPHW and #EUPHW2024.
3) Join an event (or more)
By joining EUPHW events and activities, you are contributing to the success of event hosts! Each day of the week is dedicated to a public health theme, so pick your favourite(s) and see which events are planned for that day.

We look forward to hearing about your plans and including your event in the 2024 EUPHW programme!
