The Faculty of Public Health was established in 2001 with the support of the Stability Pact. The Faculty is within the structure of the Medical University – Sofia, the oldest and the most eminent academic organization in the field of medicine and public health in Bulgaria. The European Public Health Association, or EUPHA in short, is an umbrella organisation for public health associations and institutes in Europe. EUPHA was founded in 1992 by 15 members (12 countries).
