This session will introduce writing for policy, including practical tips on making your research accessible to a non-academic audience. It will focus specifically on drafting policy briefs: concise, standalone publications based on academic research that focus on a particular issue requiring policy attention.
This interactive online session will cover how policy briefs can be a tool for co-production and framing findings to address policy issues and how to translate research, format content and disseminate briefs. Practical activities will help participants gain the skills to critically appraise the quality of policy briefs and adapt their written communication for policy audiences.
There will be opportunities for interested participants to develop post-webinar outputs including a ‘top tips’ poster and policy brief template resource.
