Blog posts are short, accessible pieces of writing that bring academic research to a wider audience, focusing on a single idea, finding or argument that readers can quickly engage with. This interactive online session will cover how blogs can be a tool for building visibility and dialogue around research, how to find a compelling angle and structure a blog, and how to write for a general readership. Practical activities will help participants gain the skills to critically appraise what makes a blog post effective and adapt their written communication for non-specialist audiences.
