The European Public Health Week (EUPHW) brings together everyone working to improve public health across the WHO European Region. Supported by WHO/Europe, the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, the European Commission, and key partners, it strengthens collaboration and amplifies trusted public health messages across borders.

Our purpose

EUPHW sets out to:

• Highlight the role of public health in driving innovation and systems resilience.
• Build trust and public understanding around health challenges and solutions.
• Foster collaboration across disciplines, sectors, and countries.
• Support inclusion by amplifying youth voices and engaging communities across Europe.

Every year, EUPHW translates the key messages of the European Public Health Conference Statement into action at national and local level. The EPH Conference provides a shared vision. EUPHW turns that vision into a week of concrete engagement, dialogue, and community activities across Europe, making the statement visible, relatable, and lived in practice.

Looking back: EUPHW 2025

Held from 12–16 May, the 2025 edition strengthened its role as a pan-European campaign for public health. Under the theme “Innovation for Resilience: Shaping a Sustainable Future”, the week mobilised:

• 298 events across the Region,  in 21 participating countries, 14 languages (183 in-person events, 103 online events and 12 hybrid events)
• EUPHA Sections, national associations, universities, NGOs, cities, and youth groups
• Strong partnership with the European Commission, WHO/Europe, and EU stakeholders
• A high-visibility launch at the European Parliament, marking an important milestone for political engagement
