For the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University of Varna, May is a particularly dynamic and meaningful month. It begins with the launch of EUPHW on 4 May and continues with a series of interconnected activities, including initiatives dedicated to International Nurses Day, mental health in schools, and other public health priorities. These efforts reach their culmination beyond the EUPHW, on 22–23 May with the “Sea and Health” Festival and its associated scientific conference.
Aligned with the five thematic days of EUPHW, the programme engages students, academics, public health professionals and institutional partners in a shared effort to communicate evidence-based public health values. These series of events by the Faculty of Public Health are in partnership with with the Bulgarian Public Health Association (BPHA).
The initiative will be supported by targeted communication through the university website, the Faculty’s social media channels, and a range of promotional materials, including posters and informational resources displayed across university buildings. The initiative aims to promote public health values, strengthen collaboration, and inspire sustained engagement beyond the EUPHW framework.

Positioned as an information and awareness campaign, the initiative highlights the Faculty’s active role and its well-established presence on the European public health map.
