The conference aims to promote awareness of active ageing within a community of approximately 40,000 residents. It is co-organized by several "neighborhood committees" of Jesi and the "Active Ageing" working group of the Regional Section "Marche" of the Italian Society of Hygiene (SItI Marche). Neighborhood committees are non-partisan, non-profit civic participation bodies made up of citizen volunteers with the aim of representing the needs of a specific territorial area to the municipal administration. The "Active Ageing" SItI Marche working group provided scientific support both in the planning and development phase of the program and in the selection of speakers.
The primary objective of this conference is to encourage healthy, independent, and socially engaged ageing.
The event will focus on key determinants of active ageing, with particular attention to lifestyle factors.
