Cyprus Epidemiology and Public Health Association - CyEPHA
The Cyprus Epidemiology and Public Health Association (CyEPHA) is a newly founded non-profit organization, established by a multidisciplinary group of 24 professionals who work in the fields of Epidemiology and Public Health in the Republic of Cyprus. These professionals have a variety of expertise and backgrounds, and have practised Public Health from within different contexts such as academia, research, community, and health policy. Our Association was established to address the increasing demands for scientifically sound, evidence-based, and transparent Public Health policy and practice in Cyprus. Our vision is to improve Public Health practice and research in the Republic of Cyprus, to ensure better health and well-being for all residents, and to tackle health inequalities within our society. Our mission is to facilitate and activate a strong voice of the local public health network and support our members in collectively achieving our vision, by promoting and supporting the basic public health domains (health protection, health improvement, health services, health inequalities) at all levels, from education of professionals and the public, to community engagement, to infrastructure and policy. Additionally, we aspire to establish strong links and collaborations with key local stakeholders (governmental and non- governmental), while building bridges and creating networks with European and other global Public Health bodies, putting Cyprus firmly on the international Public Health map. As a means for achieving this goal, CyEPHA has already joined EUPHA, the umbrella organisation of Public Health associations across Europe, as a full member and national representative. CyEPHA joined EUPHA in March 2022. Recent News15 Apr 2022 24 Jan 2022 14 Dec 2020 |
