Ana Carolina Galvão Pinto is a third-year Public Health resident at the Public Health Unit of the Braga Local Health Unit in Portugal. Her areas of interest and experience include epidemiological surveillance, infectious disease prevention and control, health planning, health education, and health communication. She currently serves as Coordinator of the Communications Department of the Northern Portugal Public Health Residents Committee. She also collaborates with the National Health Plan 2030 Technical Team at the Portuguese Directorate-General of Health, contributing to the development and implementation of National Health Programmes. Through her clinical, public health, and communication work, she is particularly interested in strengthening population health through evidence-informed public health practice.

Angelina Chatziantoniou is a biologist by training and a PhD researcher in Public Health at the University of Patras Medical School in Greece. Her professional experience spans clinical laboratories, the pharmaceutical sector, and voluntary health promotion with the Red Cross, providing her with a multidisciplinary perspective on public health and health promotion. She is also actively involved in science communication and youth engagement, including as a member of the Youth Advisory Group of JAPreventNCD. Her interests focus on translating epidemiological evidence into meaningful policy and practice, strengthening health communication, and promoting inclusive approaches to improving population health. She is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between scientific evidence and communities.

Eduardo A. Bracho Montes de Oca is a doctoral researcher with joint affiliations at UCLouvain, Ghent University, and Sciensano in Belgium. His research sits at the intersection of statistical methodology and occupational public health, with a particular focus on causal inference, mediation, and moderation analysis to investigate how telework affects workers’ well-being. His research combines large Belgian survey data with a longitudinal cohort and involves collaboration across multiple institutions, data providers, and public health partners. A former project coordinator in industry, he also supervises master’s students in public health and statistics. His broader interest lies in translating rigorous quantitative evidence into practical guidance that can inform health and labour policies.

Karolina Airapetian holds a degree in Dentistry from Kyiv Medical University and an MSc in Governance and Leadership in European Public Health from Maastricht University. For the past three years, she has worked as a National Public Health Consultant at the WHO Country Office in Ukraine and has also served as a pro bono guest lecturer at the School of Public Health of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Her professional experience spans NGOs, international organisations, and governmental institutions, with a focus on public health workforce development and leadership, health security, and policy implementation. At WHO, she contributes to the development and implementation of national policies and programmes, including the National Programme for Public Health Workforce Development in Ukraine and the National Action Plan for Health Security. She is also a member of the Steering Committee of EUPHA’s Infectious Disease Control Section.

Laura Marcela Aguirre Martínez is an Afro-Colombian medical doctor, Creative Writing specialist, and published author. She is currently pursuing the European Public Health Master (EPH+) as an Erasmus Mundus Excellence Scholar, specialising in Governance and Leadership in European Public Health at Maastricht University. She previously completed a two-year fellowship in clinical and community research focused on neglected tropical diseases, HIV, and STIs in Colombia, and worked as a primary care physician. She has been involved in several international public health initiatives, including The Lancet C&A Health Youth Advisory Panel and the EUPHAnxt Mentorship Programme, and currently serves as Communications Officer of the EPH+ Students’ and Alumni Association (EPHSA). Monique van Cauwenberghe is a researcher at the Faculty of Law at the University of Groningen, with an interdisciplinary background in law, social sciences, and health. Her work focuses on human rights and (mental)health at the intersections of climate change, disasters, and internal displacement, with a particular interest in the right to mental health in climate disaster displacement contexts. Within the Groningen Centre for Health Law, Health and Climate Change team, she investigates the use of physical and mental health arguments in climate litigation, including in disaster and displacement contexts. She also contributes to the development of an indicator tracking engagement with physical and mental health in climate litigation, published in the 2026 Europe report of the Lancet Countdown on health and climate change. Monique is a member of the EU COST Action CLIMENT and coordinates the Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research Working Group on Human Rights and the Climate Crisis.
