This one-hour webinar will introduce the principles of communicating quantitative public health evidence to non-specialist audiences. Presenting data, risks and statistics clearly and accurately is an essential skill for public health professionals: data can only inform decisions if people understand what the numbers mean.
Through hands-on exercises, the session will cover how to adapt quantitative information to different audiences and visualise data effectively. It will also explore how to be transparent about what the data do and do not show, avoiding overstated conclusions and selective reporting.
