Humanity is facing a profound polycrisis marked by climate change, armed conflict, pandemics, forced displacements, discrimination, and scandalous inequalities. These deeply interconnected crises have devastating implications for health and well-being of people, the planet and organized efforts of society.

These crises are not random isolated events but result from our actions and / or lack of actions and understanding to meet the urgent exigencies of our times.

The proposed webinar will reflect on role, mission and mandate of public health professionals for peace and betterment of the world; the underlying determinants for the polycrisis, and options for further collaboration and opportunities for action.

The webinar is organized as part of the activities of Public Health week and the initiative to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the UN International year of peace.
