10:00–11:00 Kick-off webinar Prioritising equity through public health investments

How we invest in health shapes not only outcomes, but also fairness across society. As inequalities persist across Europe, there is growing recognition that public health investment must prioritise equity, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy life.

This session explores innovative ways of financing health promotion and disease prevention, moving beyond traditional models to support more inclusive and sustainable approaches. Bringing together European expertise and country-level examples, the discussion will highlight how investments in well-being can generate long-term social and economic benefits.

From emerging frameworks to practical implementation, participants will gain insights into how to unlock funding, strengthen prevention, and embed equity at the heart of health systems.

Join us to discover how smarter, more inclusive investments can help build healthier and more equitable societies across Europe.

14:00–15:30 Children and young people at the heart of the European health policy: understanding and acting on the determinants of their health

A child’s health is shaped long before they enter a healthcare system. From living conditions and education to food environments and mental well-being, the foundations of lifelong health are built across multiple sectors—and not all children benefit equally.

This high-level policy dialogue places children and young people at the centre of European health policy, exploring how inequalities in early life translate into long-term health and social outcomes. Bringing together policymakers, international organisations, researchers, and youth voices, the session will highlight how cross-sectoral action and targeted investment can create healthier, fairer futures for all children in Europe.

Focusing on key areas such as mental health, nutrition, and immunisation equity, the discussion will connect evidence with policy priorities at EU level—at a critical moment for future funding and strategic decisions.

Explore how Europe can move from evidence to action and ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy, supported, and included.
